Thank you!

The Mapleton Methodist Women want to thank all the wonderful people who helped knit scarves for the Aroostook County Special Olympics. Unfortunately, the annual event that was scheduled for March 8 was canceled. The scarves that were made for this year will be packed away and saved for next year.

The wait is over

For those of you who supported your local Girl Scout troop’s annual cookie sale, the cookies are here. You should be contacted by the Girl Scout who sold you cookies in the coming days. Thank you for supporting the Girl Scouts of Maine!

Scout Show

The Aroostook Centre Mall has opened its doors to local Boy Scouts for their annual show for the past few years. This year, they are welcoming local Girl Scouts, inviting them to participate in the show on the same day. On Saturday, March 12 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., area Boy and Girl Scouts will be displaying their troop’s activities, projects, as well as recruiting new members during the show. Booths will be set up from one end of the mall to the other. The Boy Scouts will be holding their pinewood derby races and the public is invited. If you are out shopping Saturday, please take the time to visit these young people and their leaders to find out more about their troops and their passion for Scouting.
