Sgt. Seeley deserves chief’s badge
To the editor:
We wish the new Presque Isle Police Chief best of luck in his new job. We hope he does more on the Drug War than the last chief. But our concern is with Officer Sgt. Joey Seeley. We’ve had the opportunity to listen to Sgt. Seeley on the scanner. Sgt. Seeley is a kind-hearted man. He follows the law to a T. He cares about the citizens of Presque Isle.
But the City Council runs that town as they see fit. It doesn’t matter what’s good for the town. The City Council doesn’t understand that the citizens have the last say! The City Council did the same thing to the last town manager. They booted him out the door.
We believe that Officer Sgt. Seeley should have had this position as chief of police. We also hope that Sgt. Seeley stays on the force.
We also hope that the citizens of Presque Isle will make their voices known! That these back-room deals need to stop. Sgt. Seeley works very hard at his job and takes pride in serving the citizens of Presque Isle.
