KNOX, Dana L., 81, EASTON, at Mars Hill, February 5, 2011. A graveside service will be held at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

EASTON – Dana L. Knox, 81, died early Saturday morning, February 5, 2011, at Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. He was born December 5, 1929, in Mars Hill, son of Joseph and Lillian (Watson) Knox.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years during the Korean War and Vietnam War, and retired as a master sergeant.

Dana loved to fish, and enjoyed taking his grandchildren with him.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel (Hammond) Knox of Easton; a daughter, Rae Lynn Hewitt and her husband, Michael of Easton; two brothers: Richard Knox of Chesapeake, VA, and Joe Knox of Northville, Mich; two sisters: Lulu Meese of Wayne-sboro, Va, and Judy Corbin of San Diego; two grandchildren: Jaime Beals of Old Town and Chad Hewitt of Calais; a great-grandson, Colby Beals; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Dan and Tracy Clark of Monticello.
