SAUCIER, Frederick J., 71, ASHLAND, at Presque Isle, January 8, 2011. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., May 16, 2011, at the Ashland Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.

ASHLAND – Frederick J. Saucier, 71, died unexpectedly January 8, 2011 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Ashland, July 8, 1939, the son of James and Rena (Conley) Saucier, Sr.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator in local lumber mills for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy (Charette) Saucier of Ashland; one brother, Ray Saucier and wife, Merline of Bradford; two sisters, Lorraine Kirmo and husband, Dick of Munising, Mich, and Christine Ireland and husband, David of Ashland; two grandchildren, Heather Berry and Neil Berry, Jr.; one great- grandson, Dustin Bragdon; several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his best friend and brother-in-law, Wayne Charette of Ashland; and also special friends who assisted and cared for him to the last moments of his life, Ann St. Peter, Sarah and Joyce Charette.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Berry in 1989; and one sister and three brothers, Barbara Hitchcock, Alfred Saucier, James Saucier, Jr., and Emile Saucier.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., May 16, 2011, at the Ashland Municipal Cemetery.
