BIG INSECT NEST

Hornets may call Ashland home when it comes to sporting events, but at least one Washburn property is home to a whole nest of the winged creatures. A resident contacted the town’s news correspondent to come take a picture. This is really big and is located on the ‘old Griffin house’ on Church Street. No one has lived in the house for quite some time and apparently the hornets have had time to expand on their ‘house,’ using the eave of the building as the starting point for their own structure.
