Merchant, Sr., and his wife, Beatrice of Hancock; one brother, Dallas Merchant of Elkton, MD; two grandchildren, Anthony Dennison and wife, Samantha, Lawrence Merchant, Jr. and wife, Angel; two great-grandsons, Matthew and Daniel Merchant.
