The regular season is now complete following Tuesday night’s regular-season finales, but for several Aroostook County girls soccer squads there is still plenty of soccer to be played. The final playoff standings will not be released until after Tuesday’s games (see story below), but all signs point to five of the eight County squads earning playoff berths.

The following is a recap of games played through Monday, Oct. 18.
Fort Fairfield 2, Ashland 2 – The Tigers battled to a tie at home against the No. 1-ranked Hornets, as Logan Bubar knocked in a first-half penalty kick and Janae Libby a second-half goal for the Tigers.
Brooke LaBelle scored twice for Ashland, including the game-tying goal with 16 minutes to play.  Shea Craig and Anna Paradis had assists.
Easton 3, Limestone 0 — At Limestone Monday, Easton ended its season riding a three-game win streak thanks to the shutout victory over the Eagles. That win comes on the heels of Thursday’s 3-2 overtime victory over Central Aroostook and an 8-2 win over East Grand Tuesday, Oct. 12.
In Monday’s game, Carla Halvorson scored a pair of goals for the Bears, while Brooke Hammond added a solo goal and Savanna Fuller chipped in an assist. Marissa Parlin made nine saves on 14 shots for the Bears, while Ashlynn Kelly and Jordyn Tompkins combined to make four saves on seven shots for the Eagles.
Easton 3, Central Aroostook 2 (OT) — At Mars Hill Thursday, the Bears delivered a serious blow to Central Aroostook’s playoff hopes when Ariana Babineau scored 3:37 into overtime giving Easton the win. Halvorson scored both of Easton’s goals in regulation.
Vicki McIntyre gave CAHS a 2-1 lead with 5:15 left in the second half with a high, arcing shot that Easton goalie Parlin could not get a bead on. Whitney Klein scored a first-half goal for the Panthers off a feed from Rachael Grew.
Parlin made six saves on 15 shots for Easton, while Paige Garrison had nine saves on 17 shots for CAHS.

Van Buren 6, Central Aroostook 0 — At Van Buren Monday, the Panthers’ hopes for a big upset to sneak into the playoffs were silenced by the host Crusaders. The loss effectively knocked Central Aroostook out of the playoff picture.
Natasha Bourgoin scored three goals, while Parise Rossignol, Tonya Godin and Haley Lizotte each had solo goals. Ashlie Wilson saved 17 of 19 shots for the Crusaders, while Garrison stopped 11 of 21 shots for CAHS.
Washburn 7, Limestone-MSSM 0 — At Washburn Saturday, Lindsey Blackstone booted in a pair of goals and added an assist to spark Washburn. Carson Koch, Rebecca Campbell, Olivia Doody, Kristy Sperrey and Meghan Saucier each had one goal for the Beavers, while Campbell, Carmen Bragg and Kennedy Churchill each added one assist.
Rayah Saucier had nine saves on 13 shots for the Beavers, while Autumn Beauchamp had 13 saves on 38 shots for the Eagles.
Van Buren 2, Washburn 1 — At Van Buren Thursday, the Beavers fell just short of their attempts to beat the Crusaders in a key Heal Point matchup. Rossignol led the Crusaders with a pair of goals, while Blackstone had the lone Beaver goal. Wilson made 14 saves for Van Buren, while R. Saucier had 18 saves for the Beavers.
Presque Isle 10, Mattanawcook 0 — At Presque Isle Thursday, Chandler Guerrete had two goals and three assists in the blowout victory over Mattanawcook. Kayla Richards and Megan Ireland each added two goals and two assists, while Chelsea Lynds and Shae Adler also scored solo goals.
Meredith Stewart and Liza Buck shared netminder duties and combined for two saves on two shots. Taylor Blood had 10 saves on 20 shots for Mattanawcook.
Presque Isle 2, Fort Kent 1 — At Presque Isle Tuesday, the Wildcats made the Eastern Class B standings a bit more interesting as they picked up a win over Fort Kent. Richards scored both Wildcat goals, while Stewart helped save the victory with her solid effort in goal for Presque Isle. Stewart had one save on three shots.
Mary Grace Morris scored the lone goal for Fort Kent. Carissa Pelletier made nine saves on 15 shots.
Ashland 5, Wisdom 0 — At St. Agatha Thursday, Brooke Labelle scored two goals, while teammates Kayla Cote, Anna Paradis and Whitney Donovan each had a goal and an assist for Ashland. Marcie Bellanceau saved all five shots she faced. Hayley Cyr made 23 saves on 39 shots for Wisdom.
Fort Kent 2, Caribou 1 — At Fort Kent Thursday, the Vikings suffered just their second loss on the season as Fort Kent scored two second-half goals by Mary Grace Morris and Emily Bard. The Vikings tried to rally, as Jenna Selander converted a penalty kick with 6:02 to play, but it was not enough for Caribou.
Morgan Swan had 12 saves for Caribou, while Carissa Pelletier had 14 saves for the Warriors.
