Star City Seniors meet
The Star City Seniors met Sept. 16, at the Methodist Church on Fleetwood for their regular meeting and potluck luncheon.
There were 24 members and one guest, Lucille Larson of Crouseville. President Devoe welcomed all members to the club. The blessing of the food was given by Donna Devoe. After the luncheon, the business meeting opened with prayer, flag salute and one verse of “America..” The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given and accepted as read.
The group discussed the Presque Isle Rotary Club’s recent golf tournament, proceeds from which will help upgrade facilities at Mantle Lake Park. Sept. 22, the seniors planned a trip to Grammy’s Country Inn for lunch with a stop after at the Amish store. The next meeting on Sept. 30 will be with Presque Isle City Manager Jim Bennett. Meeting adjourned and bingo was played with Susan Clark calling bingo.
