BILL DUNCAN

 

    BILL DUNCAN, of Madawaska Lake, was one of 17 artists who created original pieces for the third annual “Paint Presque Isle: A Fresh Paint Event and Auction” held Saturday as part of the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. Twelve artists canvassed the Star City and created original work that day, while the other artists had produced earlier work that was bid on that night. Organizers say more than $6,000 was raised for the Aroostook Partners in the Arts, which helps fund art-related programs in the schools. Here, Duncan puts the finishing touches on his oil pastel painting of the Aroostook River. This was Duncan’s first Paint Presque Isle event.
