Osgood receives MPA Principal

    EASTON, Maine – Michelle Osgood, a senior at Easton Junior/Senior High School, was selected to receive the 2007 Principal’s Award, Principal Ralph Conroy announced recently. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
    According to Conroy, “Michelle is an excellent student and a very talented musician. She has been selected as a member of the All Aroostook Chorus for four years and is a member of the UMPI/ Community Band. She has been accepted at Husson College in Bangor where she will study biology. We are all very proud of her.”
Osgood, Conroy and other award winners and their principals attended an Honors Luncheon at the Civic Center in Bangor April 7. The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships in the names of Horace O. McGowan and Richard W. Tyler. McGowen and Tyler were former Maine principals and executive directors of the association. The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 140 Maine public and private schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional organization that represents Maine’s school administrators.
