On May 4 and 5 at 6:30 p.m. the Ashland Community High School gym will host Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts gang! The Ashland Community High School Drama Troupe will be putting on Clark Gesner’s musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” which is based on the famous comic strip. Filled with witty humor, great music, acting and dancing, this show is a must-see. It is appropriate for all ages, the young and the young at heart. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens at the door. Hope to see you there.
Collier marks 90th birthday
Art Collier, of Ashland, celebrated his 90th birthday on April 13, 2007. Relatives and friends gathered at Leisure Village in Presque Isle on April 25 to share a delicious lunch of lasagna and all the fixings, birthday cake and ice cream hosted by Pat Craig and Darlene Manzo. Fun, laughter and stories (especially of those times at Art’s woods camp at Webster Brook) were also shared. Those in attendance were Art and Bertha Collier, Pat Craig, Jim and Jo Collier, Katie and London Putnam, Herschel and Betty Smith, Gregg Smith, Carol Yaeger, Andrea Kelly, Rowena Proulx, Donna Small, Sterling Tibbetts, Vernon and Ernestine Craig, Lawrence and Maurine Michaud, Darlene Manzo and Debbie Bird.

The Ashland Area Senior Citizens Group meets every Thursday at 12 noon for a potluck lunch and meeting. Everyone is invited to attend weekly.
The Portage Lake Seniors’ Lunch is held on the last Tuesday of every month at 11 a.m. All seniors are invited. The meal is a potluck, so bring your own dish or bring a cash donation. For more information, contact Wilza Robertson at 435-6211 or Grace Nason at 435-6373.
