    AUGUSTA — Major General John W. Libby, The Adjutant General, Maine National Guard, has announced the promotion to the rank specified below for the following Maine Army National Guard soldiers: 

• Kristofer Winklmann, PFC, of Washburn, 1136 Transportation Company; and
• Evan Richards, PV2, of Presque Isle, DET 1 185TH Engineer Support Company.
    The soldiers were promoted in June 2010.

    PRESQUE ISLE — Ken Lamb, an Aroostook County photographer, will be displaying some of his works at The Mark and Emily Turner Library for the entire month of July. Anyone with an interest in photography is encouraged to check out the exhibit — from beginners to the more experienced with a camera. For more information, contact the library at 764-2571.

    PRESQUE ISLE – The Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle will host a virtual visit with Cinda Williams Chima from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, July 22.
    Chima is the author of “The Warrior Heir.”
    Readers will learn about the publishing process and have a chance to ask Chima questions using Skype, a free teleconferencing tool. This unique experience is provided through generous funding from the Maine Humanities Council and all are welcomed to attend.
