Summer ice coming soon

    The Northern Maine Figure Skating Club will offer skating at the Forum in Presque Isle June 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29. Basic skills, hockey and advanced packages are available.

Committee seeking Hall of Fame nominations

    The Presque Isle High School Athletic Hall of Fame committee is currently accepting nominations of candidates to be considered for induction.
    Nomination forms can be obtained on the SAD 1 website (www.sad1.org), at the Presque Isle High School athletic administrator’s office or through Jim Carter (764-1217, jcarter001@maine.rr.com) or Mark White (768-5907, Mark.White@sad1.org).

Softball tourney planned in Houlton

    The Houlton Softball Association is also gearing up for its fifth annual ‘Beat The Heat’ men’s softball tournament, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
     This will be a double-elimination tournament with prizes, a homerun contest, food, drinks and a lot of fun.
    The entry fee is $170, and T-shirts are awarded to the champions.
    Any team interested in participating in the tournament should call Clyde Warman at 521-6319.
