Armed robbers hit gas station

    PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Main Street gas station over the weekend. 

    At approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, the PIPD received a call reporting an armed robbery at the Daigle Oil Company (Main Street Citgo station).
    An employee reported that two male subjects wearing nylons on their heads and black clothing and carrying a gun stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the business. The suspects then reportedly fled on foot.
    PIPD Officers Pete Johnson, Cole Chandler and Lynn Hartley searched the area, but did not locate the two suspects.
    The department’s bloodhound, Hunter, and his handler, Officer Kevin Schumacher, were called in to help track the suspects.
