Kiwanis Club ready for weekend show

PRESQUE ISLE — The Forum will be the place to be this weekend, as the Presque Isle Kiwanis Club hosts the newly-named Kiwanis Home & Recreation Show.
This marks the 27th year the club has hosted the event.
Unseasonably warm temperatures this season has created an interest for many to begin gardening or plan a vacation getaway. Organizers are counting on that enthusiasm and encourage folks to come check out this year’s offerings.
Featured exhibits will include: landscaping ideas and products; home improvement resources; lawn and garden equipment; recreational equipment; campers; furniture; and more. Special entertainment will be provided at 2 p.m. Saturday, as Talent Revue participants perform. A chili cookoff is also planned again this year.
The event is scheduled for April 17-18, with Saturday hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 per person, with children 12 and under free.
