Bridgewater Historical Association

Welcome Spring!!!! ‘Tis the season’ for the Bridgewater Historical Association to begin to bloom. We have a few changes with our officers this year. It is our goal to make the BHA a more active part of the community and hope you join us in our efforts. New members are always welcome. Just a reminder, dues were due in January so if you need to renew your membership, please contact us.
If the weather continues its early warming trend, we may start the live music program earlier than usual. Another of our goals for 2010 is to complete the replacement of the sound system at the hall. At this time all proceeds from the music programs are going towards this project. We will keep you posted on when we will begin the music. We provide a variety of music for your entertainment including: country, oldies, old time rock & roll, originals, pop, standards, etc. So come on out and join the fun.
During the town’s Sesquicentennial Celebration in 2008 we announced that we would present the town’s Boston Cane every two years. So here we are, it is 2010 already and we are seeking nominees for the Boston Cane. If you have questions or would like to make a nomination please contact the BHA or you may pick up a nomination form at the Bridgewater Town Office. We will make the presentation during the Miss Bridgewater pageants on May 8. Remember, nominees must be willing to accept the nomination.
Every Saturday in June we are planning to have a yard sale at the hall. If anyone would like to make donations for the sales, please use the contact info below. A huge thank-you in advance. Please, no clothing or electronics.
We plan on having several other events this year so keep you eyes peeled and watch the papers for further announcements. If anyone has any suggestions we would be glad to hear them. Maybe we can get something new started. We look forward to hearing from you.
