Salisbury, NC – Ruth Amilia Robinson, 91, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at The Laurels of Salisbury. Ruth was born December 8, 1918, in Washburn, Maine, a daughter of the late Claire Clayton and Lucinda Bolstrige Clayton.
Ruth was educated in the Maine school system. She was a homemaker, and worked 30 years as a Forelady in quality control for TaterState in Washburn, Maine.
Ruth was of the Baptist faith. She loved camping and fishing in the Maine and Canadian woods and loved needle crafts.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Robinson, in 1986. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and John Clayton, and two sisters, Elsie French and Mary Yoder.
Ruth is survived by a brother, Ralph Clayton of Florida; a sister, Ethel Casteel of Atlanta; two sons, Walter Arthur Robinson and wife Annette of Salisbury, NC, and Robert John Robinson and wife Patricia of Ashland; three daughters, Marian Allen and husband Frank of Presque Isle, Donna Jean Philbrook and husband Kempton of Lyndborough, NH, and Linda Jane Caron and husband Mike of Brookline, NH; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
