Carroll A. Langille Sr.
Langille, Carroll A. Sr., 61, Mapleton, January 7, 2010. A spring interment will take place in the Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Duncan Graves Funeral Home.
Mapleton – Carroll A. Langille Sr., 61, surrounded by his loving family, ended his battle with cancer January 7, 2010. He was born March 3, 1948, in Caribou, the son of Arthur and Maxine (Hewitt) Langille.
Carroll served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Trombley Industries, as a construction foreman for 22 years, and from 1992 until present, he has been employed by Langille Construction. Carroll was well known for his excellent work ethic and his heavy equipment operating skills.
Besides his mother of Presque Isle, he is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Marcia (Lyons) Langille; a son and his wife, Carroll Jr. and Jennifer Langille of Mapleton; a daughter and her husband, Wendy and Brian Copeland of Mapleton; beloved grandchildren, Emma “Dolly”, Maxx, Mason Langille, and Jonathan Copeland; two foster grandchildren; three brothers, John P. Langille of Ashland, Chris W. Langille and his wife Sonia of Mapleton, and Arthur W. Langille, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Presque Isle; sisters, Sherry Gammon and her husband Stan of Port Orange, FL, Trudy Langille of North Carolina and Lynn Tracy and her fiancée Brandon of Brewer; mother-In-Law, “Grammy” Mary Lyons; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed and Nancy Lyons of Chapman, Roger and Berniece Coty of Mapleton and Robert and Bonnie Lyons of Calais; several nieces and nephews; special friends Wally, Ken, Gary, Jason, Aaron, Carl and Carla, and his unconditionally loving four-footed friends, Sadie, Penney and Casey Jane.
He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Larry Langille.
Relatives and friends called at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, Saturday, January 9, from 12 noon until the time of the service. Services began at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Bruce Blakney officiating. A time of further remembrance and refreshments immediately followed in the gathering area of the funeral home. A spring interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery.
