    DRACUT, MA, & Presque Isle – Normand R. Renquin, 80, a longtime resident of Dracut, died Friday, December 4, on arrival at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, after a three year battle with lung disease. He was the beloved husband of Marquise Dufour Renquin, to whom he was married for 30 years. He was born in Pawtucket, RI, on July 19, 1929, and he was the son of the late Jean M. and Bertha (Mercier) Renquin.
    He received his education in Rhode Island and Joliett, Quebec, Canada. He also attended Assumption College in Worcester.
    Prior to his retirement, Mr. Renquin was employed by Purity Supreme at its warehouse in Tewksbury. Previous to that, he was employed as an insurance salesman by Litchfield Insurance in Dracut. Earlier in his career, he was employed by Prudential Insurance and then by Metropolitan Insurance, both in Maine.
    He was a member of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at St. Therese Church in Dracut, and was a member of the Dracut American Legion, Leo C. Roth Post 315.
    In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching baseball and football.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lyndia Renquin of Cortland, NY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Luanne and Mark Hovey of Belgrade, ME, and Renee and Steve Giberson of Topsham ME; five stepchildren, Diane Beaudoin of Dracut, Robert Dufour and his wife Jeanine of Lowell, Andre Dufour and his wife Sandra of Windham, NH; Lise Roussell and her husband Michael of Craftsbury Common, VT; and Jean Dufour and his wife Donna of Windham, NH; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rita Cote of SC, Elaine Sledziewski and her husband Stanley of Warwick, RI, Theresa May of Warwick RI, and Jean Creem and her husband Jim of Waterford, CT, and many nieces and nephews.
    The Renquin family would like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice for their care and compassion throughout Normand's illness.
    It being his wish, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday at 12 Noon.
