The Presque Isle High School Varsity Club and Big Cheese Pizza have announced Derek Sczuroski and Ethan Braley are the athletes of the week for Nov. 23-28. Sczuroski had a goal and an assist to lead the PI hockey team to a victory in the John Bapst Holiday Cup Pre-Season Tournament. Braley totaled 28 points and 16 rebounds as the Wildcats defeated Waterville and Morse in the Tip-Off Classic Pre-Season Basketball Tournament held at PIHS.
For the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 5, Travis Dyer and Kayla Richards were tapped for the award. Dyer scored 22 points in the Wildcat boys basketball team’s win over Hermon, while Richards tallied 18 points, three steals and four assists in the girls’ win over the Hawks.
