The special speaker was Bobbi-Jo Caron, philanthropy officer from The Aroostook Medical Center. She spoke about health care charities and some of the projects they are working on.
One of the current projects is a new hydro-therapy suite at the Aroostook Health Center. Currently, the existing whirlpool is used by around nine residents daily. The new whirlpool will cut down on the time required to get the bath ready between residents. They hope to raise $25,000 for this project, which will also renovate the area where the whirlpool is located.
