Sperry, Elton E., 90, Mars Hill, in Mars Hill, November 25, 2009. There will be a graveside service in the spring.
Mars Hill – Elton E. Sperry was born in Conn., on Jan. 1919 and died at a Mars Hill, ME nursing home on Nov. 25, 2009 after a long illness.
Elton was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years. He will be sadly missed by the Christian Brothers/Sisters and the family wishes to thank the wonderful Brothers/Sisters for their loving prayers and support.
Elton truly lived up to Paul’s words at 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the fine fight. I have run the course to the finish. I have observed the faith.”
We will truly rejoice to see Elton again in the promised paradise to come. For Jesus said, “Your brother will rise…I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” John 11:26.
All that loved Elton want to thank the wonderful people at the Mars Hill Nursing Home for their kindness, love and support.
Elton leaves behind: Elton (Carol) Sperry Jr., Vera (Joel) Berube, Eugene C. Sperry III, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his late wife of over 45 years, Myrtle Whipple Sperry; stepdaughters, Donna AuClair, Margaret Berube, Ruthene Coty, and Wanda Hazlett; and many grand/great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
