7-Day Outlook: Wednesday, July 9-Tuesday, July 15

Wednesday-Friday

High pressure will remain across the Valley today before sliding east tonight and moving away in the Maritimes Thursday. Meanwhile, an upper-level trough over the Great Lakes today will slide east Thursday and cross the SJV Friday bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms Thursday and Friday.

Today, mostly sunny skies become partly cloudy this evening with scattered showers developing Thursday morning. Highs in the upper 70s today with temperatures falling into the mid-50s tonight.

Thursday will be partly sunny with scattered morning showers with showers likely along with isolated thunderstorms Thursday afternoon. Highs in the middle 70s are expected. Thursday night, isolated evening thunderstorms are possible with showers likely overnight into Friday. Lows in the upper 50s for most Valley communities.

Friday remains showery with isolated afternoon thunderstorms possible. Highs reach the mid-70s. In the evening, isolated thunderstorms are possible with showers waning as the evening progresses. Friday night, isolated showers are possible after midnight with decreasing cloudiness and lows in the mid-50s.

Saturday-Tuesday

High pressure builds in Saturday into Sunday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s Saturday and low 80s Sunday and lows in the mid-50s Saturday night and lower 60s Sunday night. 

Heading into next week, a frontal system approaches with increasing chances of showers for Monday and scattered showers Monday night. Some isolated showers linger Tuesday with scattered showers Tuesday afternoon/evening thanks to diurnal heating. Highs in the low 80s Monday and mid-80s Tuesday with temperatures in the lower 60s Monday night.
