7-Day Outlook: Wednesday, June 25-Tuesday, July 1
Wednesday-Friday
A cold front continues to move south through the state and will be offshore by later this morning. A dry Canadian air mass will move in behind the front with dew points in the 40s creating much more tolerable conditions. As high-pressure continues to build in from the northwest tonight with low temperatures falling in the low-to-middle 40s for most locations — high clouds over the region may help reduce radiational cooling overnight.
High pressure remains across the St. John Valley Thursday and Thursday night with dry conditions with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies for the area. Friday, partly sunny skies develop as a disturbance approaches from the west bringing some scattered showers to the Valley by Friday night.
Saturday-Tuesday
Unsettled weather is expected Saturday into Sunday night as some disturbances move across the region, bringing a chance of scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms further south in the state Saturday.
While there is some forecast model disagreement, a warm front Monday followed by a cold front Tuesday will bring some afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms Monday with showers likely Tuesday afternoon along with another chance of isolated thunderstorms for the Saint John Valley.
