PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host Owen McCarthy as its next speaker in the Libra Distinguished Lecturer Series on Tuesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room and via Zoom. The co-founder of MedRhythms, McCarthy will share the journey of building a pioneering healthcare technology company from the ground up. He will discuss how MedRhythms blends neuroscience, music, and digital technology to improve mobility for people living with neurological conditions, such as stroke, and how interdisciplinary thinking can lead to impactful healthcare solutions.
This talk is free, open to the public, and serves as the kickoff for University Day, with a full day of student presentations and activities following on Wednesday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. which the community is invited to attend.
