PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wintergreen Arts Center is featuring Roaring 20s-inspired artwork created by artists from across Aroostook County in April. The opening reception of the art show will be held Friday, April 4 from 6-7:45 p.m. during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk.
Live music will be provided by Janice Santos and Cori Lovejoy. The opening reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
“The Roaring 20s era was a piece of art made in history,” said Gina Parent, a Houlton-based artist with artwork in Wintergreen’s April art show. “The music, the girls, the guys, the cars and atmosphere were all intriguing and full of inspiration for me as an artist that likes to create outside of the lines. I had to join this show!”

Art pieces will include paintings in both acrylic and oil, digital art and fiber art, among other art forms.
“We have such fun with theme-inspired art shows,” added Gretchen Violette, Wintergreen’s events director. “First, it is always wonderful to have Aroostook County artists come together for an event, but the best part of a themed show is to witness how individual artists create around a topic. We look forward to sharing this show with the community.”
