HOULTON, Maine — Addison Watson, a senior at Greater Houlton Christian Academy, has been selected to receive the 2025 Principal’s Award. Addison is the daughter of Damian & Faith Watson of Smyrna. The award sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Robert Albers, head of school said, “The exemplary academic work and clear leadership of Addison Watson grows out of a gifted mind, and her decision to put maximum effort in her daily studies. This natural ability coupled with her unwillingness to accept anything less than her best effort have served her well as she completes her education here at GHCA. She is a student leader who is ready for new challenges, and we are excited to see all that she will accomplish in the years to come.”

Addison will attend the honors luncheon on Saturday, April 5. The luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of 10 $1000.00 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler and Richard A. Durost.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
