Our greatest strength

It never ceases to amaze me how God tends to inspire us. Since the election of Donald Trump, a couple of Scripture passages have taken on new life and meaning for me and, more than likely, for many people. The first passage is from Romans 8-28: “All things work for our good if we love the Lord and are fitting into His decree.”

Would that mean that the four years of the Biden administration, with all of its catastrophic failures that put us as Americans into such suffering on so many different areas — the open southern border, the immigration crisis, crime and inflation, DEI, transgender issues and impending wars throughout the world. This — all worked out for our good?

Yes, I now believe that the last four years were an appreciation course for the administration that we now have. God had to bring us as a nation to a strong desire for a radical change, and sometimes, unfortunately, a national suffering is the only way to bring this about.

I believe God went even further to show us that He is in charge and is going to guide and protect us. The two assassination attempts were like a cold shower for many of us. The course of history would have been totally changed within a millimeter of the direction of a bullet. To me, this is only possible by divine intervention.

Then I wanted to celebrate this new awakening by buying a new hat with the second inspiring Scripture: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4-13.  It could also apply to all of us as a nation, for we too can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

May we all stay united in prayer for our greatest strength.
