To the editor:
I’m behind an Amish buggy in the right-hand lane. To my left is a large piece of farm equipment; on the sidewalk, someone on a Rascal is speeding past. All I can think about is: Please reduce Main Street from four lanes to two.
Everyone on Academy, Second, Third, Cedar and Dudley streets, get ready, because if you can’t navigate Main Street, secondary streets will get used hard.
I’m old enough to remember when Main Street was widened. Property owners on South Main Street were forced to give up road frontage. If you’re going to narrow Main Street, do the property owners get their land back?
