To the editor:
Aroostook County voters in Maine state Legislative District No. 3, we recommend that you look at the qualifications of candidate David McCrea for state representative. These are the reasons he will be receiving our vote.
David has lived in Fort Fairfield his entire life and so understands the history and values of Aroostook County people. He has been active in community organizations, serving in leadership roles. Elated to the Fort Fairfield Town Council for 14 years, he served as its chairman for six of those years. Always a team player, he is well organized, patient and works with his constituents.
As a former three-term legislator, David’s attendance during legislative sessions and committee meetings was a priority. Twenty of the bills he wrote became law because he was able to work across party lines to reach a consensus. Those of us in the fields of education, agriculture, criminal justice and all Maine residents benefited. On many occasions David has been able to connect concerned individuals and groups to state workers in Augusta who are knowledgeable and willing to help them solve their problems.
A campaign goal has been to personally meet as many voters in his district as possible. If you have met David, we are sure that you have found him to be a good listener and eager to represent all, regardless of party affiliation.
Please join us in voting for David McCrea on Nov. 5.
