MACWAHOC PLANTATION, Maine — A Weston woman avoided serious injuries Thursday afternoon when her vehicle went off the road and rolled over on U.S. Route 2A near Macwahoc Plantation.
Joan Kenyon, 81, was traveling north in a 2004 GMC Tahoe when she lost control of the vehicle on the slush-covered roads just before noon, according to Trooper Ryan Killcollins of the Maine State Police.
Kenyon’s vehicle went into the ditch, where it struck a rock, causing it to flip end-over-end, landing on its roof, police said.
Kenyon, as well as an unnamed passenger, were both wearing seatbelts and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
