
Members of the Southern Aroostook Ministerial Association are getting ready to serve soup and spiritual sustenance to all comers noon Tuesday, Nov. 26 at St. Mary's Church in Houlton. HOULTON, Maine — The annual ecumenical Thanksgiving Service for the community, sponsored by the Southern Aroostook Ministerial Association (SAMA), will be held in St. Mary’s Church sanctuary at noon Tuesday, Nov. 26.
It will be followed by food and fellowship downstairs consisting of a soup brought by each participating church and bread.
Welcomers at the sanctuary door will have and a large table ready for canned goods brought by attenders to be given to our local food pantries. The offering will go to the Salvation Army and SAMA Emergency Fund to help our neighbors in need.
