PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — People driving by a grass fire along Route 1 at the entrance to the Aroostook Centre Mall saw a controlled burn underway.
“We do this every year,” said Kyle Bard, operations manager of the Aroostook Centre Mall.
The controlled burn covers an area of about a half-acre between the mall’s entrance and Route 1.
