HOULTON, Maine — Houlton Elementary students participated in their annual Spudtacular Day on Sept. 22. Students decorated Maine potatoes at home and brought them in for a school-wide display and for parents to see during the Fall Open-house.
Then on Friday students participated in a school wide potato themed day. Several classrooms and outside areas were set up to include: potato print making, a computer activity, potato soup tasting, musical hot potato, potato sack races, balance the potato on a spoon and rolling a potato barrel.
Principal Candace Crane treated teachers to a special lunch of baked potatoes with a variety of toppings.
