EASTON – Reta Faye Flewelling, 82, a strong woman of faith, cherished mother and gracious grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday, October 19, 2015, at The Aroostook Health Center in Presque Isle. She was born November 18, 1932, in Easton, the daughter of John and Beryl (Flewelling) Bradley.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Floyd; her sons, Terry and his wife, Carolee Flewelling of Wilmore, KY, and Loren and his wife, Peggy Flewelling of Easton, ME; her daughter, Ann and her husband, Tom Osgood also of Easton; grandchildren, Matthew Osgood and his wife, Jessica; Michael Osgood and his wife, Anna; Michelle Osgood; Kaitilee Flewelling; Paige Flewelling; Mitchell Flewelling; and Chase Flewelling; great-grandchildren include Jonathan Michael Osgood and Landon Matthew Osgood.
Reta was predeceased her parents; son, Roy Flewelling; and her brothers, Sidney and Paul Bradley.
Two words that describe Reta best — Faith and family. An exceptional caretaker, she spent most of her life caring for others. A visit in Reta’s kitchen proved that wallpaper was not necessary as her home was a showcase to celebrate the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Her steadfast devotion in her early morning prayers, support to her family and commitment to her husband are the memories that her family will always cherish.
A celebration of Reta’s life was held by the family on Saturday, October 24. All were welcome to visit with the family Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at Ann’s home. Arrangements by Faye Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Presque Isle.
