Variety found at Oxbow business
OXBOW — Since 1986, we have been bringing you quality Maine-made products and more! Our selection just keeps growing.
Our newest lines include MooseAnkle Wire Art, Designami Jewelry, Syn-cyr-ly Sisters, Maineman Pictures, Akin Bak Homestead, Allagash Tails, Wooly Moon Books, and Mittens by Roberta Johnson. Walker Cole has expanded his line with some primitive décor items for your home. There are over 75 artisans on board … something for everyone.
This year, in addition to our trees, fresh balsam wreaths will be available at the shop for pick-up only. We maintain about 15,000 native Balsam Fir Christmas Trees for the local retail market as well as the wholesale market providing premium trees from four to 12 feet. During the Christmas season, it is not unusual to see traffic jams on the OxBow Road between the gift shop and the tree farm.
Per their request, our customers may be able to roast a hot dog while picking out their tree this year. Mt. Katahdin and others along with the North Maine Woods and the Aroostook River as our backdrop, what more could you want?!
We are members of the Maine Christmas Tree Association of which Steven is currently serving as President. We support the “Trees for Troops” program by donating Christmas Trees and ornaments every year. The MCTA donates 300 trees and 3,000 ornaments per year. We are always accepting donations of unbreakable handmade ornaments.
The museum showcasing our little part of Aroostook is still in the works with plans on opening before snow flies.
Charlotte Pig continues to be the most popular pet in town. Fans bring her fresh corn, greens, apples, pumpkins, and more. There is always a lot of nature to behold as well … wildflowers, birds, and animals!
Finally, we want to thank all of our customers for their past and future patronage. Without your support, we would not be able to support the local artisans. Customer appreciation is always a top priority at Deep In The Woods. If we don’t have what you are looking for, just ask. We are here to help if we can.
We are open most of the time by chance or by appointment. Hope to see you soon!
