Bradley’s leads in convenience
Looking for a great meal, snack, car wash or need gas at midnight? Bradley’s 24-Hour Citgo and Car Wash, 46 North St., Presque Isle, is always open.
Owners Mike and Carla Cyr and sons have served the community for 19 years. Store Manager Chris Pelletier and Assistant Store Manager Robert Deschesne head a team of friendly staff.
There’s an extensive dining menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, Mapleton Diner donuts, Green Mountain coffee, many cappuccino and nine Slush Puppy flavors, and fountain soda. Meals to desserts, home-style cooking keeps customers coming back.
The store has the largest number of cooler doors of any convenience store around, with 16 doors and a wide selection of cold items, featuring Houlton Farms Dairy items.
“We have an air-conditioned and heated dining section that seats 32,” said Mike Cyr. “We offer Carla and Carol’s own home-cooked creations and daily specials like chicken stew, lasagna, chicken tetrazzini, chicken primavera and fresh-baked bread and muffins. We have pastries from the Pastry Corner.”
The drive-up window’s open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. It’s convenient. Call ahead to place your order for anything.
Deli hours are: 5 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday; 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday; and Sundays 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
Bradley’s offers pay-at-the-pump gas — full service 7 a.m.-6 p.m. The car wash, managed by Terry Levesque, is both full- and self-serve.
“We participate in the Grace for Vets program, through the International Carwash Association, washing veterans’ cars on Veterans’ Day for free,” said Cyr.
Bradley’s firsts in the city include: 24-hour gas and C-store, deli service and drive-through window. The store also accepts EBT, debit and credit cards, with no minimum purchase required.
And now with another first — talking pumps! Bradley’s has just replaced their fuel pumps with the latest and greatest models that allow customers to watch the news while pumping gas.
“The fact we’re open 24/7 means we’re there for customers, day or night, providing the best service possible,” said Cyr. “Customer service is what separates our store from others.”
Cyr sees benefits in a locally-owned and, “operated business.
“The profits stay in the community. When business is good, it’s good for Presque Isle,” he said.
