Mother Nature was not so kind to us this week, but we definitely have some die hard golfers! Congratulations to Heidi Hollis for her hole-in-one on No. 7 Tuesday, July 21.
Ladies’ Golf is every Tuesday — rain or shine! This free clinic is open to all ladies and begins at 9  a.m., followed by golf (weather permitting).
Pairs and Spares Mixed Scramble: First, Peter Blood, Greg Douglas, Kim Savage, Ted Pettengill, 33; second, Dick Kelley, Steve and Dawn Merry and Ola Tucker, 35; third, Rick Bates, Carol Blood, Greg Gayne and Betty Smallwood, 36. Pairs and Spares golfers meet each Sunday at 2:30 p.m.. There is a $2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
On Friday, July 24, we hosted our 50th anniversary scramble. We had a field of 43 for this event … the first nine was very wet, but it cleared off nicely for the rest of the tournament. First gross with a 60 was Warren Walker, Tim Prescott, Janna and Ken Webb; and second gross, Stu and Becky Kelley and Ricky and April Bates with a 66. First net with a 46.5 was Chris Eastham, Kevin Carton, Grady Anderson and Ken Eastham; and second net with a 53.2 was Bill Dwyer, Ted and Terry Pettengill. Thank you to all who participated in continuing our 50-year celebration.
Don’t forget … this Friday, July 31, we will be hosting our annual Moonlight Golf Tournament. Sign up with your four-person team for this fun-filled event. The cost is $20/member and $30/non-member (cart and one glow ball included). The field is limited to 50 so bring your flashlights and have a ball!
