    HOULTON – Carl A. Duff, 84, passed away April 30, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. He was born August 8, 1930, at East Hodgdon, the son of Donald E. and Olive Maxine (Woodcock) Duff.
    Carl started working at Cassidy’s Service Station in 1951 and then owned and operated Duff’s Service Station for 32 years before retiring in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the Odd Fellows and he was President of the Longfellow PTA. He was President of the Little League Association and coached Little League for fifteen years. Carl was a member of the North Country Cruisers and a member of the Studebakers Club. He served on the Houlton Budget Committee and was an original board member of SAVE.
    Carl is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Mildred (Cassidy) Duff of Houlton; five sons, James H. Duff and his wife, Eloise, of Loxley, AL, Dana E. Duff of Houlton, Thomas A. Duff and his wife, Nancy, of Houlton, Dale A. Duff and his wife, Nora, of Bangor and Peter A. Duff and his wife, Angela, of New Limerick; his daughter, Carla A. Duff and special friend, Laurel Farrell, of Houlton; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brother, Gerald L. Duff and his wife, Elaine, of Bangor; his sister, Audrey M. Anderson and her husband, Donald, of South Portland; a sister-in-law, Gail Duff of East Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Eugene and Robert Duff.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Interment was in the East Hodgdon Cemetery.
