OAKFIELD, Maine — An 80-year-old Oakfield man was listed in serious condition Thursday afternoon after sustaining injuries during a Wednesday morning incident when he lost control of his motorcycle and went off the River Road.
Paul Tarr was traveling east on the River Road in Oakfield operating his 2006 Honda motorcycle, when he lost control of the motorcycle and went airborne after striking an embankment.
Tarr suffered unspecified injuries in the crash and was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital by Houlton ambulance. He was later transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center due to the nature of the injuries, according to Maine State Police Sgt. Josh Haines.
Tarr was not wearing a helmet.
Troopers Gavin Endre and Jared Sylvia assisted.
