New year reminders

IN THE CITY

Dog owners of Presque Isle, take notice. If you haven’t already done so, you are way late in registering or renewing your dog license.

The fees go from a nuisance level at $6 for a spayed or neutered dog to $11 for a dog that is neither. If you fail to register the dog by January 31st, the fee is compounded by a more radical late fee of $25 on top of the previously mentioned fees for a total of either $31 or $36.
In the end, the government is going to get theirs so get your dogs registered at City Hall as soon as possible to save yourself a little cash.
As is typical this time of year, improper or illegal parking is being strictly enforced in order to aid in snow plowing and removal. Please be aware of the city’s Traffic Regulations Ordinance in order to avoid any unnecessary tow fees and/or fines. The ordinance is located at the city’s website for your convenience at: http://cityofpresqueisle.townsquareinteractive.com/files/2013/08/CHAPTER-5-Traffic-Regulations-Ordinance.pdf
It’s been a while since we’ve reminded you all of our phone app available at both Android and IPhone app stores. The app provides valuable and interesting information ranging from registered sex offenders and those with active warrants to mapping data for recent calls for service and much more. Check it out!
Also, join in on the conversation at our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/PresqueislePD if you get a chance. We try to keep it interesting, informative, and fun.
Be careful and lock up!
