Hopeful message would be welcome
To the editor:
The “portable” Freedom Church, exposed on your Jan. 21, 2015 front page, may become the trend in this fast-paced, highly-mobile civilization in which more people feel stagnant if not for frequent change and exploration.
We, in this boarding home, are necessarily stagnant — some even bed-bound. Hence, we could really use a charitable service by Charity and Paul Howlett in the spirit of their Freedom Church of “hope and love.”
As one of the bosses here — our administrator occasionally reminds me that the residents are the boss — I invite the Howletts to call Liz (activities coordinator) or Norma (resident care director) and make an appointment to come and reawaken our hope in the love of the Gatekeeper (St. Peter) and the King of the Kingdom of Heaven (Jesus).
