Ressie I. Camara (Watson and Carpenter), 73, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Houlton, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, surrounded by her family. Ressie was born April 24, 1941 to Lawrence (Sandy) and Mabel Watson in Island Falls.
Ressie worked at many places throughout Houlton, with her last job being a CNA in Carroll County, NH, and she loved working with the elderly.
Ressie was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Charla Portus and husband, David of Hudson, FL; grandsons, Peter Munro, Alan Munro, and Andrew Portus, all of Florida. She is survived by her siblings, Larry Watson, Reggie Watson, Sharon Long, Christina Weed, and Beth Edwards, all of northern Maine. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being made by Dobies Funeral Homes of New Port Richey, FL, with a private service being held at the Florida National Cemetery.
