    McGary, Eleanor L., 82, December 15, 2014.  Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, December 10, at 1 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home.  Interment to be held in the Lower Smyrna Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    NEW LIMERICK – Eleanor L. McGary, 82, died Dec. 15, 2014 at a local healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 5, 1932, at Patten, the daughter of Charles T. and Caroline L. (Mason) Cole.
    Eleanor grew up in Patten and attended Houlton schools. She was a lifelong member of the Oakfield Baptist Church. Eleanor married William “Billy” McGary and together raised their family on the farm. She enjoyed downhill skiing at Squaw Mountain and May Mountain. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
    Eleanor is survived by her children, Wayne McGary and Sharon of Houlton, Caroline “Sis” Lowery and Mike of New Limerick, Wally McGary of Oakfield, Carla McPartland and Frank, Leslie Emerson and Danny, all of New Limerick, Matthew McGary and Misty of Merrill; 15 grandchildren, Jeremy Locke, Joshua Locke, Erica Tweedie, Katie Mania, Olivia Shields, Lacey McGary, Lauren McGary, William McGary, Mallory McPartland, Martha McPartland, Brooke Emerson, Kali Emerson, Lexi Emerson, Hannah McGary and Haley McGary; 11 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Aiden, Camden, Aubrey, Jay, Ty, Leo, Enza, Cami, Ally and Beckett; two sisters, Florence Nason and Alice Geraldine Joslyn, both of Houlton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, William “Billy” McGary; several brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Abouleish and the staff at Gardiner Health Care Facility for all the care and compassion bestowed upon their mother during her time there.
    Funeral service will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home with Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Smyrna Cemetery.
