CARIBOU, Maine — The vehicle that smashed into the broadcast facility for WFST AM 600 left its license plate at the scene, but the vehicle took off with WFST paperwork stuck in its grill.
Patrolman with the Caribou Police Department Corey Saucier was out on routine patrol on Saturday when he came across the heavily damaged radio station.
Investigating the scene, Saucier discovered a license plate amidst the debris and tracked the information to the home of Christine Paul of New Sweden. Her 1999 Toyota RAV 4 was totaled and missing its front license plate — but it did have papers wedged into its grill from WSTF, according to Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan.
Gahagan outlined that Paul, 47, is charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving to endanger and criminal mischief.
