Wildcat fall athletes recognized

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine Athletes from Presque Isle High School were honored Nov. 3, 2014 during the school’s fall sports swards ceremony, which recognized all of the Wildcat athletes from the past sports season.

The following is a recap of the awards presented.
Junior varsity girls soccer — Coach Audra Kirk presented certificates to: freshmen Natalie Bates, Jaida Beaulieu, Taylor Billings, Breanna Byrd, Chloe Hammond, Chrissy Skidgel, Mckenzie Turner, Yessenia Vilar and manager Emma Willett; and sophomores Madison Fournier, Casey Lovely, Skyler McAtee, Faith Morrow, Lydia Patterson, Grace Player, Victoria Williamson and manager Emily Sjoberg.
Junior varsity boys soccer — Coach Brian Cronin presented certificates to: freshmen Jack Beaulieu, Dylan Bonville, Jack Bonville, Jordan Bonville, R.J. Gross, Cameron Lahey, Adam Paterson, Alexis Quevedo, Taddel Tuo and Gage Young; sophomores Austin Bouchard, Patrick Cash, Gavin Kelley, Bradley Kinney and Marcus Ouellette; and juniors Michael Mahon, Connor Murchison and Byron Winslow.
Fall cheering — Coach Jenna Bradstreet presented first-year letters to: freshmen Jessica Boucher, Maddison Cleaves and Kiara Lyford; and junior Shaye McHatten; second-year letters to sophomores Gabriella Donovan, Justine LaBier, Gwenyth Ortman, Alexis Simpson and Ashley Turner; third-year letters to juniors Madison Bagley, Michelle Cawley, Lindsey Lagerstrom, Alexandra Michaud and Kellsey Michaud; and senior Mackayla Burbee.
Varsity golf — Coach Daren Hunter presented certificates to freshmen Isaac Madore and Aaron Swanson; and sophomore Ian Tuttle; first-year letters to sophomores John Saucier and Grant Stewart and junior Gannon Therrien; a second-year letter to sophomore Hunter Flynn and a fourth-year letter to senior Jenna Hallett.
Varsity boys cross country — Coach Justin Fereshetian presented first-year letters to freshmen Dustin Alward and Max Bartley and senior Cristian Nunez; second-year letters to sophomore Jacob O’Berry, junior Jason Bartley and seniors Austin Albert and James Churchill; and fourth-year letters to senior Noah Rossignol.
Varsity girls cross country — Coach Mike Waugh presented certificates to juniors Ally Bell and Rachel Maxwell; first-year letters to freshmen Ellie Goheen, Isabelle Jackson and Olivia Mosher and juniors Karen Jones and Alyssa Sweeney; a second-year letter to senior Hilary Boucher; and third-year letters to juniors Emily Colligan, Erica Corey and Mandy Graham and senior Amanda Palmer.
Varsity girls soccer — Coach Ralph Michaud and assistant coach Dillon Kingsbury presented a certificate to freshman Chrissy Skidgel; first-year letters to freshman Emily Wheaton, sophomores Tori Koch and manager Jillian Jandreau; and senior Megan McKnight; second-year letters to juniors Jillian Flynn, Kerrigan LeBlanc and Regan Nelson; and seniors Erin Ackerson and Megan Seward; third-year letters to juniors Olivia Hudson and Taylor Williams and senior Macy Desmond; and fourth-year letters to seniors Hannah Graham, Krystal Kingsbury, Emma Kinney and Jordi Legassie.
Varsity boys soccer — Coach Joe Greaves and assistant coach Tim McCue presented certificates to sophomores Patrick Cash, Jake Kinney and Denny Young; first-year letters to freshmen Griffin Guerrette, Randon Mortland and Ryle Mortland; sophomore manager Elise Guerrette; juniors Brycen Libby and Zachary Rice; and seniors Jake Carter, Mike McLellan, Andrew Paterson and manager Jessica Cameron; second-year letters to sophomores Nick Bartlett, Khasen Lowe and Josiah Morse; juniors Sam Gray, Cooper Madore and Kyle Rider; and senior manager Aubrie Gross; third-year letters to seniors Keeghan Lowe, Alex Michaud and Chase Norton; and a fourth-year letter to senior Ben Nickerson.
Special awards were also presented during the evening. Receiving sweatshirts, awarded to those accumulating a combination of six varsity letters during a career, were Flynn (soccer, hockey and softball), Hudson (soccer, basketball and softball), Keeghan Lowe (soccer and track and field), Alex Michaud (soccer and hockey), Nelson (soccer, basketball and track and field) and Seward (soccer, basketball and softball).
Jackets are awarded to those lettering in a sport all four years. Recipients were Hallett (golf), Rossignol (cross country), Graham (soccer), Kingsbury (soccer), Emma Kinney (soccer), Legassie (soccer) and Nickerson (soccer).
