    TRASK, Oscar J. (OJ), TRASK, Oscar J. (OJ), 88, BRACEY, VA & EASTON, ME, at Bracey, VA, October 24, 2014. A committal service and interment will occur in the Spring of 2015 at a family gravesite in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.

     BRACEY, VA & EASTON, ME – Oscar J. (OJ) Trask, 88, of Bracey, VA, died peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born in Fort Fairfield, September 27, 1926, the second son of the late Warren W. and Katie Maude Victoria (Wiggins) Trask. American Flag Color
    OJ attended the local schools and was a graduate of Easton High School. After graduation, OJ entered the U.S. Navy and was aboard ship in the Pacific Theater. He was actually in Tokyo Harbor when the Japanese surrender was signed. He was a graduate of the University of Maine with post graduate work in Agronomy from the University of Massachusetts and Cornell University. He was self-employed in soil testing and fertilizer consulting in Ohio and Virginia.
    OJ is survived by his wife, Joyce M. (Dee) Trask of Bracey, VA; five sons: William Trask and his wife, Susan, of Phoenix, AZ, Terry Trask and his wife, Marcia, of Waynesboro, VA, Timothy Trask and his wife, Paula, of Clemmons, NC, Joseph Trask and his wife, Tracey, of Bahama, NC, and James Trask of Sarasota, FL; a daughter, Dianna (Trask) Baker and her husband, Edwin, of Kenansville, NC; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, John Trask and his wife, Nina, of Easton.
    OJ was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, William (Bill) Trask in 1950, and Harry W. Trask in 2007; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Corey in 2003, and Helen King in 2012.
    A private memorial service was held on Saturday, November 1, at Prospect United Methodist Church in Ebony, VA, and a committal service and interment will occur in the Spring of 2015 at a family gravesite in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
