    Thomas, Mary J., Rev., 81, October 27, 2014.  A homegoing service will be held October 30 in Ft. Lauderdale.  A celebration is being planned for the summer of 2015 in Maine.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

   PT Mary Thomas HOULTON & COCONUT CREEK, FL – Rev. Mary Jane Thomas, age 81, entered her eternal home of heaven on October 27, 2014, after living a life of dreams realized and walking daily with her King Jesus here on earth. Born to Beatrice and Frederick Hanning on May 5, 1933, in Houlton, Maine, Mary Jane graduated from Ricker Classical Institute and on February 26, 1952, she married Rev. Vinal A. Thomas.
    Mary Jane became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God after completing her studies through the Berean School of the Bible. She lived in the towns of Monticello, Houlton, and East Millinocket, Maine, and Brattleboro, Vermont, serving many congregations throughout New England and New Brunswick through her musical, administrative, and teaching talents until relocating to Coconut Creek, Florida in 2002 where she and her husband continued to partner with local churches to meet the needs of those in their community. Mary Jane led many women’s conferences, Sunday School training workshops, and oversaw Women’s Ministries and the associated girls’ club, the Missionettes, for the Northern New England District of the Assemblies of God from 1977-83.
    She is survived by her husband, Vinal; their children, Nancy Nagelhout (Lee), Danny, Randy (Josephine) and Tammy Hoskins (George); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gene Hare; her daughter-in-law, Jane (Danny); many aunts and uncles, and loved ones who received her in glory.
    A homegoing service will be held at Christian Life Center in Ft. Lauderdale on October 30, 2014. Details of a celebration being planned for the summer of 2015 in Maine are forthcoming.
