STACYVILLE – Charles J. Davenport, 65, died October 24, 2014, in Bangor. He was born November 28, 1948, in Island Falls, the son of George and Olive (Seile) Davenport.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and was a very active member of the Sherman Area VFW.
He is survived by one daughter, Darcey and her husband, David Brady, and their son, Keane, of Lyons, NY; two brothers, Roland and Jacqueline Davenport of Stacyville, and Duane and Debbie Davenport of Medway; one sister, Joan and Michael Duffy of Benedicta; one aunt and uncle; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends called 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls with funeral services held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Herschel Hafford officiating. Interment was in the Stacyville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sherman Area VFW, Stacyville, ME 04777.
