HOULTON — Beginning Friday, Oct. 3, and continuing every Friday throughout the month of October, Katahdin Trust will offer in-branch demos on the convenience of Mobile Deposit. Customers are encouraged to visit any of the bank’s 19 branches throughout the state for $5 Fridays in October. Specialists will be on hand to show customers how to download the free Katahdin Trust Mobile Banking App and deposit a free $5 check using Mobile Deposit.
Katahdin Trust’s Mobile Deposit enables customers to deposit checks whenever, wherever directly from their Apple or Android device by using Katahdin Trust’s Mobile Banking App. The customer can simply take a picture of the check and send it to the Bank electronically for deposit. This process is fast, free, and secure and the funds are generally available on the first business day after the day of deposit. Subject to certain restrictions. Message and data rates may apply.
“The number of customers using their mobile devices to perform every-day tasks including managing their finances is steadily increasing at Katahdin Trust,” said Vicki Smith, senior vice president of marketing and communications. “We understand that our customers are busy, so we wanted a fun way to show them that they can bank on their own schedule when and where they want to.”
